FAQs
Join/leave whenever you like
The zoom link is open for people to join and leave at any time they would like (it’s the same link for the whole week), so you can dip in and out of the event to accommodate your own schedules. You do not need to be accepted into the event and you do not need to watch the whole event from beginning to end.
Do my students have to join individually or can we broadcast?
Some schools are setting up rooms with a livestream for entire classes or assemblies to watch, some students are joining of their own accord. It is at your discretion as to how you would like to watch the event and how many students you'd like to gather into one place!
Privacy on the webinar
The event guestlist is closed and attendees are not allowed microphones or cameras on. This is to protect the privacy of the students and staff. There will be a Q&A box open for you to ask questions - this is also private so other attendees will not be able to see your questions.
Everything is being recorded
Can’t make it to some of the talks you really want to see? Don’t worry, every talk will be recorded and put up on the ERIC YouTube channel after the event for you to watch on-demand. An email will be sent out to everyone who registered for the event when the videos are ready to watch.
Is it suitable for under 14s
The event is aimed at 14+, however we have told all the speakers that there is likely to be a lot of students attending under the age of 14, as it's an open event. There will be no swearing or explicit content.
